Amala Paul, who plays the leading lady in both the versions, couldn't make it to the do owing to other commitments. The who's who of the industry gathered on location to wish the team luck during the pooja launch. Ace director K Balachander switched on the camera and was present when the first scene was shot.
A source from the unit says, "Ravi and the rest of the cast shot some important scenes for the rest of the day. Director Samuthirakani will then finish a schedule with Nani and then continue working on the Tamil version. Since Ravi and Samuthirakani have packed schedules, dates have to be worked out accordingly."
Produced by K S Sreenivasan, the film has music by G V Prakash. Touted to be a high-octane action entertainer, the film also has Meghana Raj in an important role.
